Can’t-Leave-Alone Pineapple Habanero Cranberry Sauce

Easy and delicious, this cranberry sauce has a subtle bit of heat and sweetness from the pineapple.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups of Robert Rothschild Farm Roasted Pineapple & Habanero Sauce
  • 12 ounce package of fresh cranberries

Instructions

  1. In a large sauce pot, bring sugar, water and Roasted Pineapple & Habanero Sauce to a boil.
  2. Add cranberries, stir and return to boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and cool completely.
  5. Store, covered, in refrigerator until ready to use.

Notes

Be sure to use a large sauce pot with plenty of head room. Cranberries will “pop” and mixture foam when boiling.
