Chocolate and strawberries – what’s not to like? Easy and delicious, this is a special recipe for Valentine’s Day or any special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of fresh strawberries, washed and carefully dried, leaving green tops intact
  • 1 carton of Hard Dark Chocolate Shell (Dolci Frutta is the brand I used)
  • 1 carton of Creamy White Chocolate Shell (Dolci Frutta)
  • Cupcake papers
  • Wax paper or parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry your strawberries carefully using paper towels or a soft, clean cloth.
  2. Cover a baking sheet with wax paper.
  3. Heat the chocolate in the microwave according to manufacturer’s instructions (my chocolate took a minute and a half per carton and I stirred it every 30 seconds.
  4. Gather up the green tops of each strawberry carefully in your fingers and dunk the strawberry in the melted chocolate until covered.
  5. Place immediately on wax paper-lined baking sheet because the chocolate hardens quickly.
  6. Repeat with remaining strawberries.
  7. If chocolate hardens before you have finished with all of the strawberries, reheat in the microwave for an additional 15 to 30 seconds to melt.
  8. Once strawberries have hardened on the wax paper, carefully remove and place in a cupcake paper for serving.
