Candied Black Pepper Pecans are great as a snack or added to one of your favorite salads or desserts!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves, shelled
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Toast pecans in dry pan over medium heat, stirring constantly (about 3 to 4 minutes); do not burn.
  2. Remove pecans from heat and set aside.
  3. In a non-stick skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Add brown sugar and stir to combine.
  5. Continue stirring and cooking over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
  6. Add ground black pepper and stir to combine.
  7. Add toasted pecans and stir to combine.
  8. Pour pecans out onto wax paper to cool.
  9. Separate with a fork or spoons into smaller clumps, if desired.
  10. Allow to cool completely and break apart to serve.
