These easy dinner rolls, made with pre-made frozen bread dough, are a fun way to make your holiday meal special!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 11 pound loaf of frozen bread dough, defrosted per package instructions
  • 4 tablespoons (or more) melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • All-purpose flour for dusting your work surface

Instructions

  1. Lightly flour your work surface.
  2. Dust bread dough and rolling pin lightly with flour.
  3. Roll defrosted bread out on your work surface into a rectangle.
  4. Use 3″ springtime cookie cutters (bunnies and butterflies) and cut out your rolls, wiggling the cookie cutter into the dough to make a clean cut.
  5. Carefully lift cut dough (I used a spatula) onto a clean cookie sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  6. Cover cookie sheet with a clean dish towel and place in a warm location to allow to rise.
  7. Let rise 3 to 6 hours (mine took 4 hours).
  8. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  9. Melt butter in microwave safe dish, add poppy seeds and stir to combine.
  10. Using a pastry brush, brush rolls liberally with butter and poppy seeds.
  11. Place rolls in preheated oven and bake 12 to 15 minutes until light golden brown.
  12. Serve immediately.
