Sums up our Christmas!
In a Toot Sweet life, sometimes there is nothing better than taking a few days to slow down and just enjoy what is important in life.
To me, the most important thing is family; so when Christmas comes each year, it becomes a challenge of how to balance all of my family just right.
You see, nothing is simple for most families, but for me, I have mom(s), a dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles, in-laws, etc…I was raised by a village, resulting in having so many very important people in my upbringing and support system. In adulthood, I want all these special people to be a part of my children’s lives too.
What is a girl to do?
All I can do is my best. I can only do as much as there are hours in a day, and as much as my young daughters can tolerate.
I do my best to embrace it all, to make the most of each moment and enjoy the time I have with each and every special person in my family. It’s exhausting, but definitely worth it.
This was a wonderful Christmas. We spent several days celebrating and visiting with ones we love. I am so lucky to be so loved and have so many amazing people to love in return.
