The above photo is Fiona, one of the Fairies of Fall. Fiona is Gaelic and means “fair”. Isn’t she beautiful?
The Month in Review – November 2012 includes posts from October 2012. What’s up with that? Well, on October 21st, we launched a 20-part series called “Any Way the Wind Blows” about the loss of my home in the San Diego Witch Fire in 2007. Wanting to keep this series “all together”, we officially ended the month of October, posting “The Month in Review – October 2012” on October 20th!
Are you still with me or have your eyes glazed over {grin}?
Anyway, because we made that decision (to keep the series continuous and together in the blogroll), “The Month in Review – November 2012” is broken in two parts:
- The 20-part series Any Way the Wind Blows and
- Everything Else
This monthly post provides links to all the earlier posts, providing an easy “one-stop-shopping” opportunity to get caught up on what’s happening at Toot Sweet 4 Two. While you can access these past posts either through our archives, our menu bars, our sidebar category list or even the “search” bar, providing this additional navigational tool to our blog site is like walking through the woods of our blog and stumbling upon a gathering of fairies! This time, it’s the Fairies of Fall (my name for them), a collection of adorable dolls I purchased at our grocery store over the last three years. Yep, I said grocery store!
NOTE: I made up their names – to my knowledge, they aren’t given names by their manufacturer. I thought they all looked a wee bit Irish, so I gave them all Irish names. With their sweet faces, crazy-messy hairdo’s and wild costumes, they also remind me of the Princesses P (Princess P and Princess Sweetie Pie). Don’t you think so, too?
This fairy I’ve named Tara – a good Irish name that is the place-name for the seat of the High Kings of Ireland. It is also the name of the estate owned by Scarlett O’Hara’s family in “Gone With the Wind,” the book by Margaret Mitchell. Doesn’t Tara look a wee bit like Scarlett?
In case you missed earlier months and would like to catch up, here are easy links back to past “Months in Review”:

- The Month in Review – September 2012
- The Month in Review – August 2012 (includes a few days in July; our blog launched on July 28th)
This fairy is named Maeve. In Irish mythology, Maeve was the Queen of Connaught. I think this particular Fairy of the Fall looks like she could be the Queen.
