In our “toot sweet” lives, we don’t always have time to create amazing things from scratch. Especially around special occasions, like Halloween. We are often too busy coming up with costumes for our children (and ourselves), attending and/or hosting Halloween parties, helping out at school, decorating our homes, and of course, trick-or-treating around our neighborhoods. Oh, yeah, then there’s work, too! These Sweet Things: Little Debbie Bat Brownies, are the perfect solution for busy days.
Chocolately, moist and delicious, Little Debbie Bat Brownies come individually wrapped, in a package of 6 for $1.99. I found these adorable Little Debbie Bat Brownies at Target and they were on sale for 3 packages for $5; so guess what? I bought 3! I knew I was having a little family dinner after our trip to the pumpkin patch and I wanted things on-hand that didn’t require any work. And, these Sweet Things: Little Debbie Bat Brownies assured that we would have dessert, even if I was too tired to make a dessert!
I don’t call this “cheating”; I call this strategic party planning! I know my limitations from both a time perspective and a creative perspective and even though I love to cook and create special things (and blog about it), sometimes I simply can’t get things done by my own self-imposed deadline! So I look for special products that can substitute for my lack of time, but still provide ambiance to a special meal. And, when the product is delicious as well as adorable – two things that guarantee success with kids and family – buying them is a no-brainer. So, these Little Debbie Bat Brownies went into my shopping basket as my “backup plan”.
Here’s a photo to pin to your Pinterest board. And, even though I didn’t make these Sweet Things: Little Debbie Bat Brownies, they certainly are inspiration should I ever find the time to make brownies from scratch, cut them into bat shapes AND frost them!
By the way, this isn’t a “sponsored post”; I didn’t receive compensation or product from Little Debbie to talk about these sweet things. Sometimes, I just like to share with readers when I run across something I like!
