Strawberry Protein Smoothie cover

I’m always looking for healthier ways to satisfy my sweet tooth.  Especially now that I’m on a diet!  My Strawberry Protein Smoothie is an easy and delicious way to calm my sweet cravings plus add good nutritional value and a punch of protein to keep me fueled and get me through my morning, or afternoon slump or post-dinner desire for dessert!

Did I tell you I was on a diet?  I’m overweight and need to do something about it, so why not share my journey with our readers to keep me motivated and on the straight and narrow?

If you’ve missed any of my earlier posts about my weight loss journey, you can catch up per the links below:

Back to my Strawberry Protein Smoothie…here’s what you do:

Frozen strawberries in blender - Strawberry Protein Smoothie

Put about 7 frozen strawberries in a blender.  You can use fresh strawberries, but if you do, you will need to add 1 cup of crushed ice and the crushed ice will dilute the smoothie.

Soy milk with frozen strawberries in blender - Strawberry Protein Smoothie

Add vanilla soy milk to blender.

Whey protein powder, ground flax seed, chia seeds in blender

Add vanilla whey protein powder, ground flax-seed, chia seeds to the frozen strawberries and vanilla soy milk already in the blender.

Blended Strawberry Protein Smoothie

Blend until smooth.

Pour into a pretty glass and top with fat-free whipped cream and a small fresh strawberry.  Yum!  BTW – aren’t these the prettiest martini glasses ever?  I got them years ago at Anthropologie.  Love that store!

Second BTW – serve your food and drinks in pretty dishes and glasses, especially when dieting!  Treat yourself special because you are!!!
