Spooktacular Halloween Party Mix

Spooktacular Halloween Party Mix Pic 1

Spooktacular Halloween Party Mix couldn’t be easier.  You just dump a bunch of stuff in a bowl, mix it together with a large spoon or spatula and, voila’, you are done!  A quick and easy snacking mix, perfect for a Halloween party.

It’s a great way to combine extra leftover Halloween candies with a few more nutritional items (nuts and raisins) to create your own Halloween trail mix of sorts.

I love this little glittery crow tag, so I had to find a way to use it.  So, I poured my Spooktacular Halloween Party Mix into an apothecary jar, tied an orange ribbon around and tied the tag in the ribbon’s bow.  Now I can use the tag again another time.

Here’s a close-up of Spooktacular Halloween Party Mix in a little appetizer bowl.  If I’d paid more attention to arranging the snack mix instead of just plopping a bit in this bowl, you’d see all the pieces parts!  But, I’m always in a hurry, toot sweet {grin}, so until I saw the finished photos during editing, I didn’t think about it!

But, everything in this mix is one of my favs:  pretzels, mini Oreos, candy corn, honey roasted peanuts, raisins, white chocolate chips and M&M’s.  Of course, you can add your own favs, but be sure to include both sweet and salty for that perfect combination.

Here’s the backside of the apothecary jar so that you can see more of the mix.

And, here it is on my Halloween serving table with small appetizer bowls and serving tongs. That feather owl is too cute!  However, he doesn’t photograph very well (too much black), so you’ll just have to take my word for it.  Got him at Michael’s.

This darling Halloween owl tea towel is from Target.  Just love the graphics on this.  You are only seeing one of the owls on the tea towel; it has several, but this one is my favorite.

Plus, I love these little bird appetizer plates.  I think (can’t remember, exactly, because I’ve had them for several years) I got them at Home Goods.  Even though they are truly not Halloween by design, I wanted to use them anyway.

Here’s the recipe:
