Early fall in Southern California is really an odd time of year for us. While many parts of the country have gorgeous trees in brilliant fall colors and a crisp nip in the air, we still experience hot, summer-like weather. Our recent trip to the pumpkin patch, at Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center, California, was just one of those kind of days – a gorgeous, cloudless blue sky, 90+ degree weather and a light breeze! Even so, we didn’t mind because the pumpkin patch was a glorious sight with pumpkins still growing in the fields, ready to pick, or piles and piles and piles of picked pumpkins every where for the choosing!
Tiffany’s girls, Princess P and Princess Sweetie Pie (my great-nieces), each got to pick their own pumpkin to take home. I took so many pictures that I’ve decided to share their pumpkin-picking endeavors in two separate posts and in this post, Princess P picks a pumpkin!
Take a look at how it unfolded:
Success! Have you picked your pumpkin yet?
