“Mooommm!”…

Mooommm cover

Please note the doodle…pretty talented for 6am, huh?

Every morning is a different version of this VERY loud voice that belongs to my Princess Sweetie Pie calling for me.  Only me.  Aren’t I so, super lucky?  Some (most) mornings this is not the most pleasant way to wake up, my littlest girl is generally not ready to wake up, resulting in a few very grumpy minutes until she is either back asleep or pleased by some milk, cartoons and breakfast.

On this particular morning, I felt lucky because she was just being so very, very cute.  She was happy and sweet from that first “Mooommm!” that startled me out of my peaceful slumber.

Daylight Savings had just ended.  We have “fallen back”, resulting in the sun being up very early in the morning.  This happy morning, just before 6am, Princess Sweetie Pie was thrilled!  She couldn’t believe her eyes!  “Mooommm!”…I stumble into her room still half asleep.  “What baby?” [insert raspy morning voice] “Look!! It’s morning!!!”  She points excitedly to her bedroom window.  Sure enough the sun is shining bright through her bedroom blinds.

There is no chance for me to go back to bed, but I am thankful for the happy and rested girl who greeted me on this crisp fall morning.

Happy Princess Sweetie Pie

Happy Princess Sweetie Pie

What better way to start a day than with this kind of happiness?

How do your kids wake you up in the morning?
