Love Begins at Home

Love Begins at Home

Love Begins at Home

“Love begins by taking care of the closest ones – the ones at home.” – Mother Teresa

The above picture is my father on a trip to Europe in 1995.  I love this picture.  He was 66 years old and robust and healthy and he looks so happy.  This is how I choose to remember my father, a man in full.

Today is his birthday.  He passed away this year on January 19th, so this is the first time in so many years that we haven’t celebrated his birthday.  So, I’m celebrating it with all of you, dear readers.

He was a good man; an honorable man.  And, he loved his family.  Below are links to stories about my father that I shared in January when his passing was fresh and I was deeply mourning his loss.

Eight months later, I’m still mourning.  I miss him so…

Until next time,

Yes, it’s been 4 years since my father passed and 12 years since my mom’s death. I still tear up from time to time, especially around birthdays. I find now that I’m no longer working, I miss them even more. But, as my niece says, they are still with us if we share our precious memories as you have done in this blog. That is a comforting thought. Hope your Mom is well. Love you. — Anna

Thanks, Anna. I’m sorry for your loss and I know hoe you feel. Love you, too.
