About 10 years ago I got LASIK done and it was the most wonderful thing! I went from basically seeing the world in an old tube-type television resolution to everything in HD – I could see, I could see! Yeah!
It was so wonderful – worth every single penny that my parents split with me when I was in my early twenties; not to age myself or anything!
But, now that I have had two children and a husband and life has passed by, I started noticing about a year ago my eyes were just really bothering me. I thought that maybe it was because I was looking at the computer and the iPhone too often and maybe I was just tired, so they were feeling strained.
I finally convinced myself to go see an ophthalmologist. And, lo and behold, I needed glasses again! Oh, my goodness! Anyhow, turns out that my vision problem was the complete opposite as it was when I had the LASIK 10 years ago, which is very strange. So, my first idea was to just get a LASIK touch-up done again. I called to find out that since I’ve already had it done, it would cost about twice as much to have it corrected, which seems totally wrong!
So, here I am a glasses and contacts wearer again. And, oh how I miss my days of LASIK vision. Pretty lame that this LASIK didn’t last!

To all you other LASIK people out there, I really hope you have had better luck than me. Goodness knows I don’t have the $5,000 to go get a touch-up done.
And, with that being said, I now need to go take my contacts out and put on my glasses. Have a good night, y’all.
