It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas: How to Set Snow Falling on Your WordPress Blog

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas cover

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Everywhere you go…

– Meredith Willson

Okay; so now the song lyrics from It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas are running through my mind {grin}!   Stuck in a continuous, annoying loop!  Sorry if I’ve made that happen to you, too!

Do you feel like you are behind?  I so feel like I’m behind!  I have not one single Christmas gift purchased.  Normally, I try to buy Christmas gifts throughout the year so that I’m ahead of schedule and to spread out the cost over the year.  But that has so NOT happened this year!

At least WordPress has their stuff together!  Notice the “snow” falling on my site? WordPress does this automatically every December if you just check a box on your dashboard!

How to set snow falling on your WordPress dashboard

Here’s what you do:

  1. From your WordPress dashboard, scroll down and click on “Settings”.
  2. Click on “General”.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and check the box “Snow”.
  4. Click on “Save Changes.”

Voila!  Snow will fall on your blog until January 4th!  Easy, peasy and so cute!

Anyway, I don’t know why I feel more unprepared this holiday season than I have in past seasons.  Maybe it’s because I’m not prepared at all? {grin}  No easy, peasy “boxes” for me to check to magically get things done!

Guess I’d better snap to it!

Tootles,
