What is a Grandparent? I suppose it depends on how lucky you are or who you are speaking of when you say “Grandparent”. If you look up the definition on Google you will find the following: “A parent of one’s father or mother; a grandmother or grandfather”. In my life and my children’s life, I would define a grandparent as someone who loves as unconditionally as humanly possible even though you are not their own child. They make you feel safe and special, spoil you and give you an extended home that will always be a safe place full of love. A grandparent is also loved so incredibly much in return; it is magical to watch and experience.
I was beyond lucky to have my grandparents around so often and be such a huge part of my life. My girls are now experiencing the joys of having wonderful grandparents too!

This Grandparents Day we are visiting my husband’s family and get to have some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa whom we wish we could see more often. Although they are thousands of miles away, they share that bond and unmeasurable love that only a grandparent can give. To all you amazing grandparents out there, we hope you have a great day and know how much you mean to us grandchildren!
