Hi
Although I live in the MidWest, one never knows. I’m so sorry to hear of the devastating loss you all suffered. I can not imagine the feeling of loss, fear and immediate burdens placed on you all not even having been able to take in what was happening to your lives.
Having to somehow gain the inner strength to begin such an emotional and Exhaustong process once the Insurance Adjuster came and shared what would allow the best scenario outcome through your Insurance company. I don’t know what the outcome was however pray it would allow you to rebuild and start a new chapter in your lives.
My best friend lives in Cali and I forwarded her both your links/downloads. Thank you
Thanks, Vicky, for your kind words. Yes, we were able to rebuild our home (the fire I wrote about in this post happened in 2007). We’ve lived in our beautiful new home for 10 years now. The experience was life-changing in many, many ways and my “take-aways” from this experience were many, but the two biggest are that (1) you don’t know how strong you are until you are in a life-changing situation and (2) that “things” are only “things” and while some of those “things” may be heirlooms that are irreplaceable, they are still “things”. Your loved ones matter and your pets matter and if you get both of those, in the end, you are blessed. Thanks for stopping by!
