Easy Party Glitter Cups

Easy Party Glitter Cups cover

These easy party glitter cups are spectacular, don’t you think?  And, they are surprisingly easy to make.

As a guest at a family birthday party recently, I arrived to find beautiful decorations everywhere and these party cups were the star of the show (except, of course, the birthday girl – Princess Sweet Cheeks – who turned One!).  My sister, Dawn (baby’s grandmother), and my niece, Nicole (baby’s mother), went out of their way to design a fabulous celebration for the special baby girl (my great-niece).

This is Princess Sweetie Pie, cousin to Princess Sweet Cheeks, drinking pink lemonade from one of the party cups.  Isn’t she a doll?  She didn’t know I was taking her picture; that’s really the best way with children, isn’t it?  Candid shots always turn out better!

Dawn and Nicole set up a separate drink table and placed these beautiful easy party glitter cups on a gold-rimmed, mirrored tray.  Already embellished with pink and white striped straws and lemon wedges, party guests just had to grab one and fill it up!

I asked Nicole “where did you get such a spectacularly clever idea?”  Can you guess her answer?  Pinterest, of course!

I did a Pinterest search and came up with these two sites for the specific instructions on how to make these easy party glitter cups.  Check out DIY Glitter Dipped Cups over at the eVite website and How to Make Glitter Champagne Flutes from HGTV’s site for the details on making your own easy party glitter cups.

I’m going to make these for my next party, so stayed tuned for an update on a future post!  These easy party glitter cups are a fun way to add glamour and sparkle to any celebration and definitely perfect for a girly first birthday celebration!

And we all could use a bit of sparkle and glitter in our lives, too, don’t you think?

Princess P - Easy Party Glitter Cups

I know…Princess P’s photo above doesn’t show her easy party glitter cup!  But, she’s so cute!  Plus, you can see her straw in the lower right corner.  So you’ll just have to imagine her holding one of those sparkly masterpieces!

They are pretty, aren’t they? I can’t take credit for their creation, though. My sister and niece made them! But, I’m going to copy their idea and make some for my next party!

Wow! Big hit; such fun! And they are actually pretty easy to make once you get all the materials needed. Just be sure to give them time to dry completely. Cheers and sparkles!

Hi Carole, I’m popping over from Hump Day Happenings. I loooooove these cups. I’m gonna demand that all my drinks come from glittered cups from now on hahahaha and with the adorable paper straws! It’s such a clever idea. I’m sure the party turned out beautiful.

Well, Miss Dana, you “silly girl” – without your guidance on photo editing, these photos might be just “ordinary”. Thanks for your tips and, for your infinite patience!
