Did you know we are having a party? Yep; we are having a party! A party to celebrate our first anniversary as a blog! These Cute and Easy Party Name Tags are just perfect for our Blog-o-versary Party and I wanted to share them with you.
We decided to have name tags because many of our guests don’t know each other. But, I didn’t want the name tags to be those sticky kind that you put on your clothing. Creating a lanyard-type name tag was what I wanted to do, but I wanted it to be pretty and feminine (the majority of our guests are women).
Anyway, I found these gift tags in the dollar bin at Michael’s. They were light baby blue (one of our colors for our party) with pink roses on them (our table centerpieces are going to be roses and plumbago) and I thought they were almost perfect to use as lanyard name tags! Only thing wrong with them is that the ribbon on the gift tags is too small to put over anyone’s head plus they were pink and I wanted the blue to be featured more, since our party colors are pale baby blue and silver.
The only supplies you need for this project (other than the gift tags) are scissors, a tape measure and ribbon.
I measured the ribbon by placing the measuring tape around my neck and letting it drape down my front. I chose 45 inches as the right length for the lanyard to fall.
Then I cut all the ribbons to the same length and opened all the bags of gift tags.
Then I cut all of the pink ribbons and removed them from the gift tags.
Then I threaded the longer blue ribbon through the grommet in each of the gift tags and tied the ends in a knot.
One down and 49 more to go!
All finished! So quick and easy!
