Bona: A System to a Better Clean Floor {Sponsored Post}

Tiffany gets her new Bona!

Tiffany gets her new Bona!

Do you have hardwood or tile floors?  Do you want an easy way to maintain your floors?  Well, Bona provides a system to a better clean floor!  I first met Heather, the Bona representative at the Mom 2.0 Summit in Laguna Niguel.  At first, I walked right past the exhibit because I use a steam cleaner on all my floors and didn’t have much interest in changing.  But, the second time I past by Heather, I decided to stop and talk to her.

She was mildly distressed to hear I was using a steam cleaner, especially on my wood floors.  She explained that over time, steam causes irreversible damage to wood floors.  And, I told her that I was noticing microscopic cracks near the seams.  She suggested I try the Bona system and offered to send one to both me and Tiffany.  A few days later, our new mops and cleaners arrived.

We’ve both used them now several times.  We wanted to use them several times before we wrote this review to ensure that we were giving this product a fair chance and not a quick “once over lightly” (no pun intended; okay, okay – I did this on purpose so the pun IS intentional {grin}!)  Well, there are many reasons that I’ve now switched permanently from my steam cleaner to Bona:

  1. It is so incredibly easy!  You just pop in the proper cartridge and off you go!
  2. The steam cleaner had a long electrical cord that followed you around.  The Bona system is cordless!  How freeing!
  3. Because it is cordless, you save on electricity and time from plugging and unplugging as you go from room to room!
  4. The pivoting head makes operation a breeze; no more twisting and turning and wrenching your back trying to get to corners and under tables.
  5. And, it’s quiet –  no noise!  Just the noise of you mopping!
  6. The microfiber cleaning pad is machine washable, making cleanup of the mop a snap (actually Velcro, not a snap)!
  7. Storage – it takes up very little space in your closet!  And, because of the pivoting head, it fits nicely in your closet.
  8. It’s light weight!  No heavy lifting!

So, Bona is now my new system to a better clean floor!

    The review is great! It seems really great to have the Bona mop! I have hardwood floor everywhere in the house and I try to clean it as often as I can and to keep it nice and shiny! I have a wood cleaning product and an ordinary mop but I am not quite satisfied with the results so I think to give Bona a try! I have heard only positive opinions about it so I have no doubts that is good! Thanks for sharing! Lovely post!

    I have widened areas in my prefinished wood floors. I think the subflooring must still be warping in this 40 year old townhouse. These planks have a separation about the depth (width?) of a credit card. There is no way I can get on my knees to clean these with a toothbrush or any other kind of small-bristled brush. The credit card is actually too wide to fit in the openings. Because the wood is light, these dark lines really make the floors look super dirty. How does this Bona work to get out this built up grime in my kitchen and around the front door?

      Good question, Margaret. Unfortunately, I can’t answer it! I don’t have the same type of wood flooring as you are describing. I suggest that you contact Bona directly for answers, because after all, they are the experts on their product. Tootles!

    This is a great kit. We have Bona in our store, too, and absolutely love the quality and ease that Bona offers through all their products. Swiffer mops aren’t quite as good for your floor with the chemicals in the cleaning products. Always a good choice to go with the Swedish brand!
