Have you ever had multiple things happen within a short period that makes you think…”hmmm, this has to be a sign?”
Lately, all signs have pointed to Disneyland for me/us. Weird? Maybe. Maybe I just really am craving some magic at the Happiest Place on Earth.
First sign: I won tickets to Disney on Ice on another blog that was running a giveaway. Thank you Mama Must Have It, we had so much fun!
Second sign: We received a promotional mailer from Disney offering a discount on our next visit to the Disney Resorts.
Third sign: Another promo from Disney, this time the Southern California Resident discounted ticket offer.
I sent a text to Chris and said “Babe, all signs are pointing to Disneyland for us. We need to plan it!”

We have tossed around the idea the past two years to just skip a birthday party for Princess Sweetie Pie. Her birthday, being right after the holidays, always seems to creep up on us. The idea of just taking the girls for a magical day at Disneyland has been tempting. We throw around the ideas, then add the costs, think about all the people that we wouldn’t get to celebrate with…we haven’t done a Disneyland birthday yet.
Now that the Princesses P are 6.5 and 4, it seems like we are in the perfect window of the magical age. We HAVE to do this while everything is so enjoyable through the eyes of a child. Don’t get me wrong, these girls are spoiled and have been many times, but Princess Sweetie Pie seems to just be at that right age where it will be amazing. Sometimes I think (know) that these experiences are more for us as parents, to see the magic and joy through our kids, to watch them have such innocent fun and to actually feel the happiness through their experience.
I need this now. Or sometime very soon. All signs are pointing to Disneyland. I’m going to make this happen!
Oh, AND…I got ANOTHER promo mailer today! We can’t ignore all the “signs”!
