42 Things in Your Baby’s Nursery

42 Things in Your Baby's Nursery cover

Guess what?  After more than a year, I’ve finally gotten around to our littlest littles with 42 Things in Your Baby’s Nursery!  For the next 4 Fridays, it will be all about what baby’s bring into our lives in the way of stuff.  Baby stuff.  And more baby stuff.  Who knew we had so much baby stuff?

If you are a new reader and have no clue what this series is about, I create lists of 42 for household inventory purposes.  I do this because I want to be more prepared in the event of an emergency and decided to work on my own household inventory.  We lost our home in a wildfire 7 years ago (see Any Way the Wind Blows) and since that time, I work off-and-on on our own emergency planning and preparedness efforts.

Anyway, I decided why not share it on my blog?  So, these lists of 42 were “born” 15 months ago.

Nicole and Princess Sweet Cheeks - 42 Things in Your Baby's Nursery

Speaking of “born”, this cutey patootie is Princess Sweet Cheeks with her mother, Nicole. This ginger-haired beauty, born 10 months ago, is the youngest addition to our ever-growing clan.  Somewhere she got the “Irish” gene in a family full of blue-eyed blonds and hazel-eyed auburn beauties.  It must be from her Uncle Kyle, who has a red beard!

Or, she could just be an anomaly like me, in that I was the only brown-eyed person in this pale-eyed family until my niece, Melissa, was born.

Anyway, Nicole is my niece and Princess Sweet Cheeks in my great-niece.  Nicole and her husband, Rob, had a bit of a challenge bringing Princess Sweet Cheeks into the world and I wrote about it several months ago.  Check out The Incubator to find out her story!

They don’t live next door or down the block or in the next county or even in my state! Consequently, I don’t get to see them often in our “toot sweet” lives, so I stole these photos from Nicole’s Facebook page {grin}!  I did ask her permission, first, so I guess it’s really not stealing {grin}!

Dawn, Princess Sweet Cheeks, Grammie - 42 Things in Your Baby's Nursery

I tweaked them in PicMonkey to make them seem like photos from an album.  The photo above is my sister, Dawn, Princess Sweet Cheeks’ grandmother, and our mother, Jo, Princess Sweet Cheeks’ great-grandmother.  This was taken last May at my house when everyone gathered for my mother’s birthday.  Princess Sweet Cheeks is fast approaching her first birthday.  With her gorgeous red hair, do you think her mother will dress her as a pumpkin for her first Halloween?
