Sadly, I have nothing on this list of 42 Still Even More Kitchen Gadgets! Zilch. Nada. Zero. Not.a.one! But, I’d like to have a couple of these things, like the pie bird! I really want a pie bird! They are so darn cute!
Anyway, that’s why there’s no picture of any of these gadgets. But, I made you a quick and easy PicMonkey poster instead. Sorry it’s not more creative, but I couldn’t find anything that suited my fancy or inspired me! But, stick with me here; I have a surprise at the end of the post.
If you are already a reader of our blog, you will know what this list of 42 Still Even More Kitchen Gadgets is all about. But, just in case this is the first post you’ve read, here’s a refresher: we lost our home in a wildfire in 2007. While firefighters did save a few of our personal possessions, pretty much we had to start from scratch. When you start from scratch, you usually purchase “the basics” so my first list of 42 in this series is called “42 Kitchen Basics for Your New Home.” And, I’ve been adding to that list ever since!
In addition, we had to complete a household inventory for our insurance company in order to collect under that portion of the policy. Creating that household inventory took me 9 months of working nights and weekends and it was 165 Excel spreadsheet pages long!!!
I decided to create a household inventory for our new home so that we have something just in case the need arises in the future. Since I’m doing a household inventory for myself, I decided to share it on the blog so that others can benefit from these endless lists, if they choose. So, at the end of each post is a FREE printable list to add to your household organizational binder.
This is the 14th list in this series. We started in the kitchen and we are still in the kitchen. In the kitchen with Carole. Or, should that be someone’s in the kitchen with Dinah? Oh, I got off track…just being silly! I’m a little punchy after doing 14 lists of 42 things for the kitchen!
Which brings me to another point: every household is different. Every kitchen is different. While these lists try to cover all the bases, there are going to be things left off. So, be sure to note your special equipment on one of these lists so that you don’t forget if you need to use these lists as a starting point for your own personal reasons.

And, here’s the surprise I promised you:
This glorious creature is our cat, Coco. He’s a boy. If you want to know why we have a male cat named Coco, read this: A Boy Named Coco.
This is what he looked like when we adopted him. Pretty pathetic, right? Abandoned on a street, no less! And, a major street to boot. Now, sweet peeps, you all know his birthday and that he’s seven years old. And, just in case you are a cat-lover, too, here are some more pictures of our beautiful cat.
If you haven’t noticed, we decorated our house around Coco; he blends in nicely everywhere! When we were starting from scratch after the fire, we didn’t know where to begin! Usually you decorate a house over time and your decorating grows and evolves. But, we needed to do it all at once and one day, I looked at this gorgeous cat and said to myself “I’m going to decorate around Coco – brown, cream, white and blue.” So, he’s the inspiration for the walls, flooring, carpeting, tiles, major furnishings, etc. House by Coco.
P.S. Some of these photos were taken with an iPhone. I bet you can’t tell which ones!

Cute post; the pics of Coco were a real treat. You are dating yourself with the “Someone’s in the Kitchen with Dinah” addition. I bet nobody Tiff’s age gets it…but I got a chuckle..haha.

Yes, but there’s no denying my age!
