42 Nice-to-Have Kitchen Supplies and Equipment is the 6th post in an on-going series of household lists. In case you missed the first few posts of this series, I launched this series in June – the month of weddings, graduations, barbeques and tornados!
And, in case you are a new reader to our blog, a little quick snippet of background about these lists: I lost my home in the 2007 San Diego County wildfire known as the Witch Fire and have been on a mission this year to get my Emergency Planning Checklist in order! That means doing a household inventory of our new house and belongings. So, since I’m already doing this for myself, I decided to share it on the blog in case readers want to work on their own household inventory. Or, you can just use this as a “wish list” to round out your kitchen supplies or a shopping list for that special bride or graduate!
These lists do not repeat. I started with a “basics” list and have added to it with each subsequent list. So, these lists are meant to compliment each other, plus at the end of each post, I’ve included a FREE printable for you to use!
And, just in case you are wondering why 42 and not 50 or 100? Well, we want to “brand” this list and the other lists of 42 for the “4 Two” in the name Toot Sweet 4 Two! I know it’s silly, and probably in actuality, people would prefer lists of 10 or 5 because they are faster to read! But, 42 it is!

My Salad Shooter is new and still in the box! My neighbor gave me a whole bunch of cucumbers, so I’m looking forward to trying it out this weekend! The Egg Slicer Wedger Piercer is about 5 years old. I keep it in the box because then I don’t lose the tiny parts. I got it at Ross for $3.99! Such a bargain!
Have I left anything off of these lists? Share in the comments. There are future lists coming your way, but I don’t want to miss anything!

I use my egg slicer a lot. After the slice you can open it, turn the egg sideways and cut again; perfect size for salads, etc.
Another suggestion is to keep these lists in mind (or print them and store in purse) for when you are thrift store or Craigslist shopping. Maybe you can get some of these items nearly new.
